Territory Sales Manager (K-12 Education)

Little Rock, AR | Direct Hire | $55,000-$65,000+ DOE

Our team is currently searching for a full-time Territory Sales Manager (K-12 Education) to join a life safety products & services company in the Little Rock office. This direct placementopportunity is with a well-established organization that values accuracy, integrity, and building strong client relationships while providing you with an opportunity for long-term career growth & success.

The Territory Sales Manager will:



  • Secure project contracts in line with sales and profit obligations.
  • Develop/maintain relationships with school district decision makers to ensure installation coordination.
  • Collect/prepare site information/photographs; submit to Engineering for sales quote.
  • Prepare weekly sales and bid reports.
  • Acquire/maintain thorough knowledge of all relevant equipment and systems, with the ability to perform demonstrations of all products within the territory market.
  • Assist in the collection of money related to the territory client base.
  • Assist in Sales and Marketing initiatives.
  • Attend company training sessions as necessary, both online and in-person.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory regularly, Monday-Friday required (*vehicle company provided).


Qualifications / Requirements:



  • 2 or 4-year degree in Business, Sales, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years sales, account management, and/or customer service experience required
  • Sales / Account Management background working with K-12 / Education industry clients is highly desired
  • Effective organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and follow-up skills
  • Proficient use of MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required
  • Professional appearance with excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of the primary/secondary Education industry strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel Monday-Friday throughout the assigned territory regularly is required


Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the public. Ability to speak well on the phone.

Technological Competence:Ability to research multiple mediums for new products and technologies; desire to gain thorough product knowledge and comprehensive understanding of NFPA 72 and 101 Code, Arkansas Fire Code, NEC 90; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and 360.

Mathematical: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and invoices.

Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Personal Competencies: Integrity, outstanding communication and people skills, technological aptitude, orientation to details and organization, quick learner, team player, and "service provider" mentality.
