Medical Assistantsperform administrative and clinical duties under the direct supervision of a medical provider - physician, physicianassistantor nurse practitioner - in the medical office setting.

The Medical Assistant works closely with the physician in the practice/center clinical setting,assistswith direct patient care, and serves as the clinical liaison between physician andpatient and between physicianand the office staff. The incumbentis responsible forpromoting communication among all care providers, patients, and office staffregardingthe care plan for the patient as defined by the attending physician. This individual attends to patientsutilizingthe age-appropriate principles of growth and development for patients of all ages according to thepracticespecialty.

No experience?Norton Healthcare offers a full-time,40 hoursa week paid training program. Training consists of a combination of classroom and clinical training. The program schedule is Monday - Friday, 8a-4:30p.The classroom training will be held at 1001 Breckenridge Ln, Louisville, KY 40207. Clinical training will be completed atdifferent locationsthroughout Louisville and Southern IN.

Upon successful completion of the Medical Assistant Trainee program, you will transition into a full-time Medical Assistant role.

The program will provide education on topics including:

• Anatomy and Physiology

• Medical Terminology

• Medication Math

• Pharmacology

• Clinical and Administrative Skills
