Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Enterprise Architect providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/C3C/KR), C3C "Kessel Run" organization. This will support the Command-and-Control Incident Management Emergency Response Application (C2IMERA) Program Office.

This is a full time position located at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA.



Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

    Develops reference models of the enterprise and maintaining the information in the IT repository
  • Determines the gaps between the current and the target architecture and recommending plans for transitioning to target architecture
  • Recommending the policies and principles to guide technology decisions for the enterprise architecture
  • Identifies opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support business processes and utilize emerging technologies
  • Promotes and educates customers and stakeholders on the use and value of the enterprise architecture
  • Provides enterprise architecture guidance, support, and coordination to customers and IT project teams
  • Documents the enterprise architecture infrastructure, including the business units and key processes, using modeling techniques
  • Ensures technical integration is achieved across the enterprise by participating in test planning, validation, and reviews
  • Evaluates the impact of enterprise architecture products and services on IT investments, business operations, stakeholder satisfaction, and other outcomes
  • Coordinates and conducts governance and portfolio management activities associated with ensuring compliance with the enterprise architecture; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/ cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to all components of the enterprise architecture
  • Supports implementation and execution of agile software execution in concert with Government and Prime contractors
  • Supports and advises on development of architectures for software development
  • Provides support for software architecture and design, development and evaluation of standards and services required to promote the requirements defined by and developed through user centered design
  • Advises software architecture, enterprise activities and working groups, which include but are not limited to; Meta-Data Management Team, DCGS Enterprise Technical Working Group, DCGS Operation Technical Working Group, DCGS Knowledge Management Team, Operational Users Focus Team and Test and Evaluation Focus Team
  • Supports documentation development and review, briefings, training material development, implementation, integration and fielding of products and support to technical interchanges via teleconference or in person
  • Provides recommendations in making software design choices
  • Engages in the design of the architecture of the platform/hardware environment where software will be deployed
  • Provides solutions and assistant to the Common Data Fabric effort in support of Government personnel
  • Interfaces with the user(s) and sponsor(s) and all other stakeholders in order to determine their (evolving) needs
  • Performs cost-benefit analyses, as requested, to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components
  • Performs an interfacing function, on behalf of the Government engineers, with the design and implementation engineers and architects, so that any problems arising during design or implementation can be resolved in accordance with the fundamental design concepts, and user needs and constraints
  • Ensures that a maximally robust design is development
  • Assists in generating a set of acceptance test requirements, together with the designers, test engineers, and the user, which determine that all of the high-level requirements have been met, especially for the computer-human-interface
  • Assists in ensuring that all architectural products and products with architectural input are maintained in the most current state and never allowed to become obsolete
  • Provides systems engineering and support technical evaluations and analysis and document development and review
  • Provides recommendations regarding the establishment and composition of services and capabilities
  • Provides recommendations to align the enterprise architecture product(s) development with industry and Government technology best practices, standards and specifications
  • Provides engineering support to continually assess impacts of new standards on enterprise software design and implementation
  • Conducts technical exchange sessions supporting enterprise architecture and design including technical exchanges with enterprise community stakeholders
  • Conducts user site visits, telecons, and other direct and indirect support for tasks as directed
  • Ensures that architecture and standards development activities support implementable products and functionality
  • Translates emerging and accepted architecture standards into backlog use case descriptions and support understanding of new requirements as part of the agile development process including but not limited to test driven development, continuous integration/continuous deployment pipeline
  • Experience working directly with modern software applications, products, and intel tools
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program/project guidelines


Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Top Secret Level Clearance

Years of Experience: 15 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be in the DoD

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Master's Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD

  • Experience on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic team environment meeting end users' requirement
  • Comfortable working and collaborating with a prime contractor delivering all engineering and software development services.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
