What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a Business Process Specialist to join the Customer Support operations team. In this role, you'll help optimize business processes by analyzing data, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing improvements that enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction. You'll support global initiatives by transforming complex data into actionable process enhancements. You'll collaborate with project managers, analysts, engineers, and business leaders to streamline workflows, automate routine tasks, and ensure seamless data flow across systems. What You'll Do
- Design and maintain process dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Develop and optimize queries in databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and Vertica to support process analysis
- Utilize Python for process automation, data handling, and efficiency enhancements
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) like customer satisfaction (CSAT), average handle time (AHT), and recontact rates to recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert business challenges into efficient process solutions
- Automate repetitive workflows and reporting to promote scalability and reduce manual effort
- Deliver insights to leadership through clear, data-backed presentations and reports that highlight process optimizations
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in SQL across multiple databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle)
- Practical experience with Python for automation and data processing
- Strong background in visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI platforms
- Knowledge of support metrics (e.g., CSAT, First Contact Resolution, AHT) and process improvement methodologies
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting. Proven ability to juggle priorities and deliver results on time
- Enthusiasm for Tesla's mission and using process expertise to drive real-world operational success
