DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will lead the multidisciplinary treatment team while also providing coverage for staff psychiatrists during emergency or scheduled absences. Responsibilities include conducting thorough psychiatric assessments, reviewing and confirming psychiatric diagnoses, and performing comprehensive, documented psychiatric reviews of patients. You will complete monthly medication reviews, respond to psychiatric emergencies, and actively contribute to performance improvement initiatives and other hospital-wide programs.

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Evening, weekend, and holiday on-call hours may be required. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime and travel: As needed
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires the possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
