Job Summary

RWJBH is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for Variable shifts with a focus in night shifts in the Cardiac Surgery department at the New Brunswick campus

This role will be expected to rotate between ICU/Floor with possible training and rotation to Cardiac surgery operating room for the right candidate

Role includes rotational nights, weekends, and holidays

Essential Functions

• Candidate should possess effective time management and critical care skills
• Must be able to adapt and adjust to a large volume acute patient population
• Skills with procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement and chest tube placement are required
• Must also be accustomed to working as an autonomous provider ex: making treatment decisions and moving patient care forward
• Experience with POCUS is also preferred
• The expectation is for the candidate to work at full extent of their license,

Education

• Graduate from NP program with certification in Acute care, or Adult with previous critical care experience
• NP can only be considered for the OR if they have their RNFA certification
• Physician Assistants need to have graduated from accredited PA program
