The department of WVU Online is currently accepting applications for an on-site Enrollment Specialist.

About the Opportunity

The Enrollment Specialist for WVU Online is responsible for driving inquiry-to-application conversion for prospective online students. This role owns the outreach process, monitors engagement metrics, and recommends adjustments to improve outcomes. The Enrollment Specialist ensures that prospective students receive timely, personalized guidance while continuously evaluating the effectiveness of outreach approaches. This position may require evening or weekend work to engage prospects at times that maximize response and conversion.

What You'll Do

  • Design, execute, and continuously improve inquiry response strategies, using CRM workflows, outbound calling, and personalized follow-ups to establish consistent, outcome-driven engagement with prospective students.
  • Own conversion outcomes from inquiry to application, developing and monitoring key performance indicators, analyzing conversion rates, and recommending strategies to improve funnel progression.
  • Maintain organized records of interactions and follow-up activities in the CRM system.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage hard-to-reach prospects, including calls at varied times such as evenings or weekends.

  • Create and update communication standards, including scripts, templates, and workflows; ensure alignment with institutional enrollment protocols and consistency across all channels.

  • Participate in professional development, team training, and strategy reviews, sharing recommendations that enhance WVU Online's recruitment effectiveness and prospective student experience.
  • Other duties as assigned in job description.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, communications, education, or related field
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, student services, or enrollment-related work
    • Minimum experience required is two and a half (2.5) years of related experience if holding a bachelor's degree, or a minimum of six (6) months of experience if holding a master's.

    • Experience may include student worker positions, graduate assistantships, or other paid roles.
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
