NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the Vice President, Human Resources. The Benefits Analyst is responsible for the execution of our Total Rewards strategy by researching, analyzing, evaluating, recommending, and administering Landmark's Benefit Plans and Programs. This role interprets internal and external best practices and challenges and recommends solutions to improve our benefits products, processes, and services. The Benefits Analyst stays informed and updated on industry trends and provides recommendations to leadership that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree in related field and 3+ of experience in administering benefits programs and plans. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
2. Demonstrated ability leading complex projects that are organizational-wide and timebound, while balancing day-to-day priorities and deliverables.
3. Successful experience in reporting, analyzing, and presenting benefits plans and programs.
4. Experience in the design and administration of Total Rewards strategies with the knowledge and understanding of how total pay, health and welfare, and retirement complement each other in the overall Total Rewards package and long-term strategy.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to receive and deliver difficult messages clearly and calmly.
6. Demonstrated ability to assess and interpret information from multiple sources, identify and resolve complex issues while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
7. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a high-volume environment
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and possess strong analytical skills. Must have experience administering benefit programs in market relevant Human Resources Management software programs (Dayforce experience preferred). Must have demonstrated ability to function in a variety of programs and systems as part of job responsibilities.
9. Must have a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must understand and comply with job related state and federal laws and regulations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Assist in developing and implementing the Total Rewards Benefits strategy, policies and processes for the company's Health & Welfare and Retirement plans.
2. Leads the administration of all medical/dental, flexible spending, life, and retirement plans from new hire to retire.
3. Provide expertise in design of the Benefits Plans and Programs while ensuring the organization is compliant with required notices, plan documents and procedures.
4. Ensures benefit information in the HRIS and vendor systems are accurate and confidential. Keeps current on system updates and tools.
5. Addresses all benefits inquiries from associates, managers, and Human Resources in a timely manner.
6. Manages service delivery metrics in relation to outsourced benefit providers.
7. Partner with the company's external benefits partners to stay informed on industry best practices and any legislation changes that could impact Landmark.
8. Remain current and up-to-date with current benefit trends through partnership with our external benefits partners as well as independent evaluation and research. Recommend cost effective associate benefits programs that align with our overall Total Rewards strategy, associate interest, and are externally relevant.
9. Communicates benefits to associates through Annual Enrollment periods, trainings, regular written communications and regular follow up to inquiries and requests for information.
10. Understand, summarize, and present on current benefit trends to key stakeholders within Landmark.
11. Participates in benefit educational opportunities, professional publications.
12. Performs other duties as assigned within the Human Resources function.
