As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols at a government location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, and document all incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and members of the public, maintaining a visible and approachable presence.
  • Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
  • Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed during incidents occurring at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Applicants must provide one of the following: a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
