The Solution Accelerator is a transformative initiative within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO). Its mission is to deliver independent, innovative solutions to customer hard problems with speed and national impact. The Solution Accelerator will achieve these goals through proactive problems solving, risk-taking for breakthroughs, and agile operations. By bringing the unique capabilities of the Aerospace Corporation, Solution Accelerator can anticipate and respond to mission challenges across the space enterprise to create actionable results for customers.

Our team is seeking a Project Management Specialist to support the Solution Accelerator's mission to deliver independent innovative solutions with speed and national impact. The successful candidate will work with Solution Accelerator leadership and technical staff to manage a portfolio of innovative, rapidly executed high potential projects selected to address strategic corporate objectives. The Project Management Specialist will be a instrumental to the creation, implementation and maintenance of Solution Accelerator's project management system used to track our strategic, technical and financial performance.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Use Microsoft Project to develop and maintain top level project schedules and milestones for a dynamic portfolio

  • Use Fiori and/or other currently available tools/dashboards to provide regular financial status reporting to Portfolio Architect (PA) and Formulation staff

  • Maintain, update and refine databases and tools (Excel or other) and associated dashboards used to track and report portfolio status and metrics

  • Organize and maintain Solution Accelerator's online documentation libraries (e.g., Sharepoint, Teams) and recommend improvements and efficiencies

  • Work with Portfolio Architect, SA Formulation Director and Project Leads to perform portfolio analyses, portfolio check-ins and other regularly scheduled reporting functions

  • Support the development and organization of department communications, including highlights, newsletters, and corporate briefings to be distributed across the organization

  • Support the development of standard formats, tools or graphics libraries to enable/simplify generation of charts and diagrams (e.g., status reports, flow diagrams, OV-1 diagrams)

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience with database management

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience coordinating and managing multiple technical projects at once

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including MS Project (or equivalent project management tools)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance, which is issued by the US government. US citizenship is required.

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Current and active TS/SCI with SAP eligibility, which is issued by the US government. US citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance

  • Track record of building, maintaining, and auditing document management and storage systems (e.g., SharePoint and Livelink)

We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
