Quality Inspection Technician (Temp to Perm) Location: Irvine, CA Pay: $21.00 per hour Schedule: Thursday - Monday \| 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Job Type: Temp to Perm Job Summary We are hiring a Quality Inspection Technician to support manufacturing operations in Irvine, CA. In this role, you'll assist with the inspection and testing of SMA wire used in precision manufacturing. You will work with testing equipment, measurement tools, and inspection systems to ensure products meet quality and customer specifications. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role with the opportunity to transition to a permanent position. Employee Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plans Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Health Savings Account (HSA) AD & D Insurance Key Responsibilities Log and label incoming SMA wire spools and maintain accurate inspection records Operate testing and inspection equipment with minimal supervision Perform visual and secondary inspections following standard operating procedures Verify wire quality, customer specifications, quantities, and labeling accuracy Prepare and apply test weights with correct KSI values Confirm testing equipment calibration, voltage, and current settings Identify, segregate, and label non-conforming material Sort and track inventory digitally and physically; report discrepancies Support shipment preparation to meet internal and customer deadlines Complete required training, documentation, and calibration activities on time Provide informal guidance to team members as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree a plus) 2+ years of inspection or quality-related experience preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication) Basic math skills (arithmetic, algebra, geometry) Experience with precision measurement tools (microscopes, micrometers, multimeters preferred) Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) Basic computer skills; experience with FileMaker or PuTTY is a plus Excellent hand dexterity and visual acuity for fine-detail work Comfortable using small hand tools (tweezers, pliers, screwdrivers) Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs Strong teamwork and communication skills Why You'll Like This Role Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term potential Day shift schedule with consistent hours Hands-on quality role in a precision manufacturing environment Supportive team with opportunities to learn and grow Apply Today If you have inspection experience, strong attention to detail, and are looking for a stable opportunity with growth potential, we encourage you to apply today.
