The Network Engineer III will support the organization's enterprise data network. Role will strive towards and attain subject matter expertise on enterprise network platform and support the enterprise as part of a highly skilled network team. Will work in daily operations support and project roles. This role will serve as a pivotal member of the network team. This role will provide design and architectural support, serve as a point of escalation for all network related issues, and be expected to mentor team members in expertise gained as well as learn from other team members. As a Network Engineer III, you will:
- Deploy and support large, complex enterprise network infrastructure-including routers, switches, wireless systems, load balancers, and other mission-critical network devices Deploy and support large, complex firewall/VPN infrastructures.
- Support scalable, resilient network solutions that meet performance, security, and operational standards, demonstrating deep expertise in networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, QoS, multicast, STP, SD-WAN).
- Participate in modernization of the network through automation, orchestration, and practical AI-driven capabilities.
- Plan and execute network changes with precision to achieve minimal downtime and seamless user impact.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root-cause analysis to maintain network performance and stability.
- Collaborate closely with peers, cross-functional teams, and internal customers to design solutions, drive alignment, and resolve complex issues.
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating needs into actionable network strategies.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, vendor platforms, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the environment.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- At least 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in the following:
- Aruba and Cisco switching/routing/VXLAN
- Aruba wireless in both office and manufacturing facilities, including using Aruba Central to drive the best into our products
- Automation and AI-Driven tools to bring the best products to our customers
- Citrix NetScaler Load Balancing including GSLB
- Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and SDWAN
- IPSec Site-to-site VPNs, both dynamic and static, with SDWAN on FortiGate firewalls
- Network monitoring and management (Solarwinds, FortiManager, Ansible, and Fabric Composer preferred)
- CCNP - Cisco Certified Network Professional Preferred
- NSE6 or CCSA Preferred
