Job Summary

Oversees and maintains the department's website student recruitment and program marketing. Analyzes data collected and creates reports.

  • Coordinates and/or administers the operational activities associated with an academic/student program, project, service, or function.
  • Assists in the coordination/preparation of strategic plans in support of the program or service. Coordinates the development, scheduling and implementation of new and ongoing academic/student programs or services.
  • Oversees and facilitates specific activities/tasks/assignments for the department.
  • Performs administrative duties supporting instruction/training, including matters such as researching and recommending new projects, and/or revisions to existing programs, as necessary. Serves as liaison between program participants and the university community. Evaluates program/services. Analyzes data for quality improvement initiatives. Communicates with stakeholders, international students, and visitors.
  • Maintains and distributes PBT TOEFL scores.
  • Coordinates program marketing and recruitment by managing and updating the English Language Institute's (ELI) website, social media platforms, and attending international recruitment fairs.
  • Works with Director in initiating marketing campaigns. Manages and maintains marketing and promotional material requests and inventory as well as organizes and allocates materials for recruitment events (educational fairs, university visits, placement tests abroad). Identifies more efficient ways of conducting marketing for the Institute.
  • Keeps abreast of trends, education policies, and best practices through professional development opportunities to support the department's vision to identify and research new marketing and recruitment projects.
  • Works with Director in initiating marketing campaigns.
  • Represents FIU's English Language Institute at the Florida Intensive English Consortium (FIEC) recruitment group and collaborates with other FIEC marketing team members to update StudyUSA online profile, magazine ads, and website.
  • Coordinates all logistical matters related to each project including planning, initiation, coordination, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors status of projects. Analyzes program data, develops reports, and oversees activities.
  • Contributes to the Institute's strategic initiatives and supports the Institute's international/intercultural mission. Sets attainable goals that are compatible with those of the Institute and establishes concrete performance standards. Provides and implements creative recommendations.
  • Trains, directs, supervises, and evaluates the work temporary personnel. Assures that the staff are compliant with University policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as required or directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
  • Serves as the University's credit card user for departmental transactions. Adheres to University's rules and regulations.
  • Performs essential duties in any emergencies such as hurricanes, storms, and/or any other university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience.



Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in website content,
  • Experience in student recruitment.
  • Bilingual (e.g. Spanish).
