The Vice President - Consumer Sales serves as a key member of the TDS Telecom leadership team, responsible for driving national consumer sales growth and revenues, and an exceptional customer experience across all consumer products and services. This executive leads the Consumer Sales organization, encompassing consumer experience, and core operational teams, ensuring unified strategy, flawless execution, and operational excellence.

This role is accountable for developing and executing a forward-looking sales and customer engagement strategy that strengthens TDS's competitive position, maximizes revenue opportunities, and deepens customer loyalty. The Vice President champions a culture of performance, collaboration, and innovation-aligning sales execution with marketing, product development, and service delivery to create an end-to-end customer experience that reflects the company's values and drives sustainable growth.



Responsibilities

    Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with TDS Telecom's business objectives, growth initiatives, and revenue targets.
  • Lead all consumer sales channels, including retail, web, direct, and vendor partnerships. Manage sales operations, partner relationships, and performance management to ensure optimal results. Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and market dynamics to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing sales organization, fostering professional growth, accountability ,and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product Development to strengthen consumer customer
    experience & support strategy, enhance satisfaction, and improve retention.
  • Manage departmental budgets, develop and track performance metrics, and ensure effective scheduling practices that align capacity with customer demand.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, Operations, Finance, and other business areas to ensure sales strategies align with organizational goals and customer expectations.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR 4+ years professional work experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in consumer sales within the telecommunications, consumer electronics, or related industries.

Other Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in related field preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and improving profitability across national consumer sales channels.
  • Deep understanding of telecommunications operations, network infrastructure, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Ability to develop and execute enterprise-level sales strategies aligned with company goals, while leading cross-functional teams toward successful implementation.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer experience, building loyalty, and ensuring customer success.
  • Skilled in using data, analytics, and performance metrics to inform strategy and improve business outcomes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust and alignment across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly accountable, agile, and focused on achieving measurable outcomes in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
