The Senior Vice President of Sales will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategies that drive revenue, expand market share, and deliver exceptional customer experiences across both commercial and consumer segments. This leader will be accountable for building a high-performing sales organization, optimizing processes, and ensuring alignment with the company's fiber-first growth strategy.

Reporting directly to the President and CEO of TDS Telecom, the SVP will lead the company's entire sales vision in the telecom sector-responsible for setting high-level strategies, driving aggressive revenue growth across fiber, broadband, TV, and wireless, managing large sales teams (including VPs and Directors), and collaborating with the executive team on product-market fit and customer engagement strategies. This role demands a visionary, results-driven leader who can influence at the highest levels and execute with precision and agility.

The SVP will ensure sales strategies are customized for both commercial and consumer customers, balancing innovation with operational excellence to achieve subscriber, market share, and revenue targets. This position is critical to advancing TDS Telecom's competitive position and delivering sustainable growth.



Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Leadership:

    Define and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with TDS Telecom's business objectives to drive revenue growth and strengthen market position.
  • Customize strategies to meet the unique needs of both consumer and commercial sales customers, ensuring tailored approaches for each segment.
  • Lead the sales organization by setting goals and performance standards across all levels.
  • Design and implement operational plans, optimize processes and tools, and leverage data and technology to monitor performance, identify trends, and improve results.
  • Analyze market conditions and the competitive landscape to inform strategy and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams through recruiting, mentoring, and leadership development programs.
  • Oversee budget planning and resource allocation to support sales programs and initiatives.
  • Champion a culture of performance, collaboration, and innovation within the sales organization.

Leadership & Operational Excellence:

  • Lead and oversee the entire sales function including Commercial Sales and Consumer Sales.
  • Develop comprehensive sales plans to drive growth, oversee sales operations, and ensure achievement of subscriber, market share, and revenue targets across all lines of business.

Financial & Performance Management:

  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation.
  • Develop, track, and monitor critical performance and operational metrics to ensure accountability and results.
  • Identify risks and opportunities while managing sales tools and systems.
  • Align capacity planning and scheduling practices with customer demand.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders-including Marketing, Product, and Service Delivery-to ensure sales initiatives align with organizational priorities and deliver an exceptional customer experience.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR 4+ years professional work experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a senior executive role.

Other Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and achieving financial objectives in competitive markets.
  • Extensive experience leading large, complex sales organizations with strong strategic planning and execution capabilities.
  • Telecommunications industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive analysis, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Ability to translate strategic vision into actionable, enterprise-level sales plans aligned with company goals.
  • Skilled at fostering innovation and leading cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, continuous improvements.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer experiences and long-term loyalty.
  • Expertise in leveraging analytics and technology to optimize performance and inform strategic decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership presence with strong communication and influencing skills to drive collaboration across marketing, product development, and service delivery.
  • Experience managing budgets and resource allocation to support organizational priorities.
