This highly motivated individual, as part of the Maintenance Department, will be responsible for maintenance and repair activities for the building facilities, grounds, as well as production & handling equipment. Maintains, tests and repairs a wide range of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities * Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or electrical equipment including but not limited to lift & transport trucks, water plumbing, and specialized production test equipment * Plans and performs work requiring a strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories and principles * Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA and Watts safety requirements. * Advises operators and supervisors of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical and mechanical equipment and components. * Install & relocate warehouse racking when needed * Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment. * Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed or scheduled * Proactively identify problems and take prompt action. Informs appropriate management and other maintenance mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved. * Trains and assists other maintenance team members where appropriate * Highly safety-conscious * Willing to work overtime when required. * Performs other duties as required.
Required Qualifications * 3-5 years minimum of experience in the electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and/or pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate proficiency in areas of experience. * Experience with building & construction trades and best practices / techniques * Basic understanding of common local and national building codes * Proficient with full array of hand and power tools * Working understanding of properties of various materials including wood, metals, and plastics. * Working understanding of electrical principles * Able to understand and communicate proficiently in English * Experience in operating equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc * Highly mechanically inclined * Experience with and ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Personally motivated and able to work with minimal supervision or direction * Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment. Preferred / Desired Qualifications * Specific experience with commercial or industrial building maintenance * Specific experience with manufacturing maintenance * License in a trades area (plumbing, electrician, etc) * OSHA training * Machining experience * Welding / Plasma cutting experience * Commercial Driver's License, either current and active or past experience in driving * Computer experience preferred but not critical- Outlook, Word, Excel, internet * Multi-lingual: Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus General Applicable Company Competencies
