The Director of Business Operations serves as a key strategic and operational leader for the Heart & Vascular Center (HVC), advising the Executive Director and providing administrative leadership across the Center's cardiovascular services. This role is responsible for aligning business operations with HVC's strategic goals, ensuring effective planning, financial stewardship, and operational performance across a complex, high-acuity clinical environment.

The Director leads HVC's financial and business operations, including operating expense and revenue budget development and oversight, financial analysis and reporting, volume and budget projections, and FTE budget control. In partnership with clinical and operational leaders, the Director supports safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency (KPIs/targeted metrics) initiatives across all HVC departments.

This position establishes and maintains financial and operational goals that support fiscally sound, high-quality cardiovascular care. The Director manages and directs resources, reviews and approves programmatic and operational recommendations, and contributes to the development and implementation of policies that impact day-to-day operations and broader organizational objectives. Areas of direct responsibility include but not limited to business operations, administrative support, billing and charging processes, revenue and expense analysis, budget preparation, procurement, capital equipment planning and replacement, business contracts, and grant management. The Director ensures compliance with all applicable institutional policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
