As a Distribution Services Supervisor, you'll be the front-line leader ensuring smooth operations at our Distribution Center. This role combines hands-on expertise with strategic oversight, supervising Shipping Clerks and office staff while actively performing key shipping functions. You'll be the go-to problem solver, communicator, and process innovator-keeping freight moving and customers happy.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Keep Operations Running Smoothly - Monitor & Manage: Ensure all office activities-such as processing paperwork for deliveries and shipments-are completed accurately and on time. Stay Organized: Verify paperwork for correctness and maintain electronic filing systems for easy access and compliance.
- Drive Performance & Productivity - Optimize Practices: Review and refine working methods to maximize efficiency while ensuring adherence to company standards. Maintain Records: Compile and manage essential reports, logs, and documentation to keep operations transparent and efficient.
- Manage Resources & Supplies - Control Inventory: Oversee office inventory and order supplies as needed to keep the team equipped and productive.
- Lead & Collaborate - Partner for Success: Work closely with the Distribution Services Manager and other supervisors to implement new initiatives and continuously improve service to the Distribution Center. Team Development: Manage workforce performance, identify training needs through regular appraisals, and foster a culture of growth and excellence.
WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

- Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Knowledge of SAP Manufacturing software; SAP Order processing systems; Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate, train and coach employees to encourage optimum performance and engagement.
- Good planning and priority setting skills.
- May be required to work long hours and weekends.
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides leadership and guidance to employees in the Distribution Center.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.

- The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the distribution center. The DC environment will include extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical equipment such as forklifts/hi-lifts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the loading areas.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
