Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic commercial real estate location, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and professionalism will contribute to a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activity or potential threats observed during patrols within the commercial real estate environment.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and support a secure working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related emergencies and/or incidents throughout the assigned location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess Act 235 qualification if applying in Pennsylvania.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
