Primary Responsibilities HDR is currently looking for a Transit Strategic Program Growth Director to support the growth of our transit engineering, rail and transit systems, operations and maintenance facilities programming and planning business classes and associated practice groups within our growing Transportation Business Group. The Transit Strategic Program Growth Director will provide support for transit aligned business classes and foster collaboration to support business development, project delivery, and the professional development of employee-owners. Future strategic growth and geographic development are fundamental expectations for this position. From supporting transit and rail infrastructure projects, to facility improvements, along with systems projects, we have the experience to identify and implement the right solutions for our clients. The primary objective of the Transit Strategic Program Growth Director is to support the positioning for project pursuits and assist our project teams in the technical delivery of high-quality work. We have strong technical expertise and consistently provide outstanding service. We are seeking a proven Transportation leader to elevate our practice and strengthen client relationships in the market. The primary responsibilities of this position are divided into three areas: Project work (40% Utilization) Develop and lead implementation of Strategic Program Plans and identify new business opportunities in the transit market (30%) Lead Strategic Alignment Planning between our market sector, transit engineering, rail and transit systems and O&M facilities design teams (30%). In this role of Transit Strategic Program Growth Director, you will be responsible for working:
*LI-MR1 Preferred Qualifications A highly skilled professional and nationally recognized industry leader in transit and rail planning, engineering, and construction in the United States. A respected organizational leader with a demonstrated record of developing, supporting, and maximizing the effectiveness of high-performance teams. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline required along with a Professional Engineering license (P.E.) A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience is required. Experience developing and enhancing transportation client relationships throughout the complete life cycle of project delivery including marketing, proposal development, negotiations, contract execution, planning, design and construction Experienced in the development and management of diverse teams. Must have well-developed analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Ability to work cooperatively with regional and local office managers, other area business group directors, technical directors and marketing managers Committed to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
