Description

If you are a motivated analog designer with skills and interest in designing analog IP blocks that will be used in most of the cellphones sold today, Skyworks' IP team is looking for you! As part of the company's IP development team you will work on analog control blocks for all of Skyworks' RF products and develop IP circuit block designs that are used across the company. You will be designing analog and mixed signal blocks such as DACs, regulators, and sensors in a variety of SOI and bulk CMOS processes.


The work involves developing, updating, and maintaining Skyworks' IP libraries as well as guiding and helping the design community in their integration and performance verification via simulation. In this role you will collate the requirements from various design teams and work with our systems team to define the specifications for Skyworks' IP blocks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop analog IP block designs to meet product design teams' requirements with all the necessary collaterals including documentation and integration guides
  • Update existing IP block designs to serve the needs of various design team
  • Lead the qualification and testing of one-time programmable (OTP) memory IP

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, documentation, and presentation skills
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in designing analog IP blocks: OTP fuse block, Bandgap, ADC, DAC, temperature sensor, LDO, and TIA designs
  • Experience leading the lab evaluation of circuits
  • Hands on experience using analog lab equipment
  • Fluency in virtuoso design environment from schematic capture to GDSII
  • Track record of designs that resulted in high-volume manufacturing
  • MS/PHD in EE or similar field
  • Layout floor planning and design experience
  • Track record of analog design performance improvements
  • Verilog-A modeling
  • Ability to use Jira for project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background designing RF circuits such as LNA or PA
  • Python programming proficiency
  • Proficiency in on-chip and off-chip isolation techniques to prevent digital interference
  • Experience leading other design engineers
  • Experience designing, qualifying, and testing of one-time programmable (OTP) memory IP
  • System Verilog and digital AMS verification experience


The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $114,400 - $220,200 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
