Laboratory Technician - Biology/Chemistry

mission! The Laboratory Technician performs tests, experiments, and analyses in a laboratory setting or

provides support for laboratory activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Perform routine laboratory testing or laboratory support per Standard Operating Procedures

(SOP's).

* Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.

* Manage inventory for required operating materials.

* Ensure strict adherence to all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

* Ensure strict adherence to all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management System

requirements.

* Effectively manage all assigned tasks to ensure completion by established due dates.

* Provide support for other laboratory areas and complete additional tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

* Strong written and oral communication skills.

* Demonstrated expertise in productivity software including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets,

Slides, Drive) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

* Knowledgeable of laboratory safety, chemical handling, scientific concepts and analytical testing

equipment.

* Attention to detail.

* Ability to thrive in a high-volume laboratory testing environment.

* Basic skills in one or more of the following areas: spectroscopy, mass spectrometry,

spectrophotometry, microscopy, electrochemistry, filtrations, extractions, gravimetry,

metallography or chromatography.

Required:

* Associates degree or equivalent in Chemistry or related scientific field.

* 1+ years analytical laboratory experience using state-of-art analytical instrumentation or

techniques

Preferred:

* B.S. or B.A. degree in Chemistry or related scientific field.

* 3+ years analytical laboratory experience using state-of-art analytical instrumentation or

techniques
