Job Description




As a Security Officer - Government Facility Patrol in Palm Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and high visibility. This post requires driving as part of your responsibilities. You will interact with the public, provide excellent customer service, and respond to various situations with professionalism, contributing to a secure and welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for government locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations during patrols and while on post.
  • Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management, site contacts, and emergency personnel as required.
  • Observe and report any security-related concerns or incidents to Allied Universal and/or designated site representatives.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials when necessary.
  • Assist with crowd management and/or visitor control as needed at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
