Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols FT in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol government locations to help deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. You will interact with the public, deliver exceptional customer service, and respond to security-related events as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe and report any irregularities.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying identification and authorization as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies.
  • Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Remain alert and attentive while on duty, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Operate communication devices and security-related technology as required by the location.
  • Follow all instructions and directives provided by Allied Universal supervisors and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
