Armed Security Officer - Driving Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Elizabeth City, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a government location. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor for and report any suspicious activities or unauthorized individuals in and around the premises.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors as required by site protocols.
• Support law enforcement or emergency personnel as directed during critical incidents.
• Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
