Summary

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic person to assist Process Engineering and Quality Control functions within the Simpsonville Innovation Center. The Co-Op Engineer will support manufacturing activities and quality control activities relating to the manufacture of high-performance Ta Specialty capacitors. This role will work under the direction of the Process Engineering and Quality Manager/Engineers.

Key Responsibilities



  • Planning and conducting experiments for material/product qualification and process scale-up


  • Support production operations-disposition of non-conforming product


  • Commissioning of new equipment and technologies if required


  • Work closely with engineers/technicians to ensure the process plant is set up to provide maximum output levels and efficient running of the production facility


  • Obtain and summarize date, make observations and conclusions, propose path forward based on all gathered information


Required Qualifications



  • Engineering curriculum background (ME, ChE, EE, Matl Science preferred)


  • Must have strong analytical and computer skills; experience in statistics (SPC and DOE) helpful


  • Practical knowledge of manufacturing operations helpful


  • Excellent verbal and technical writing skills


  • Must be able to work effectively across disciplines and to communicate effectively


  • Must be able to multi-task in a high paced environment
