Involves developing, evaluating, revising, applying and documenting technical quality assurance protocols, methods and test plans to inspect and test a variety of IT processes, software and products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both campus, medical center or Office of the President IT quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations and software/product design specifications to determine and approve software releases. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of IT processes, software and products and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. Involved in developing, auditing, monitoring and enforcing the established release management processes and policies in support of cross-domain configuration integration, testing, completeness and consistency. May ensure compliance to UC and/or external specifications and standards
Applies advanced QA/Release Management concepts and location objectives to test highly complex software changes or enhancements. Regularly works on highly complex projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Directs the selection of and devises methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for testing and releasing software. Coordinates release program activities and functions as a subject matter expert in release management.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Current Epic certification in 1 or more Epic modules such as: EpicCare Ambulatory, MyChart, ASAP, EpicCare Inpatient, etc. Or successfully complete Epic training and certification within 6 months of hire.
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- Five years or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Advanced knowledge of software functions and analysis.
- Advanced knowledge relating to the design, development and analysis of software. Advanced skills associated with analysis of software design, modification and implementation.
- Interpersonal skills to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
- Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non- technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Self-motivated, ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines, works independently and as part of a team and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Advanced skills in software testing
- Demonstrated ability to understand business and how business systems can support those needs
- Demonstrated skills and experience at recommending and presenting quality improvements to processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced understanding of the use of automated testing tools, including skill to perform automated procedures.
- Understands compliance requirements for applicable industry or agency standards.
- Advanced knowledge of the ISO standards and the CMMI (Compatibility Maturity Model Integration) model.
- Thorough knowledge of other areas of IT. Thorough knowledge of department and University processes and procedures
- Advanced skills related to complex software and project lifecycle management.
- Creates and tracks the release improvement process to be applied across all IT domains and initiates new projects related to release management.
- Demonstrated skill at developing complex conversion and system implementation plans.
- Coordinates release program activities and functions as a subject matter expert in release management.
