The Salvation Army Mission Statement: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love for God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. BASIC PURPOSE The Social Service Ministry Worker is responsible for ensuring delivery of services and responding to inquiries from social service clients and the community within the geographic boundaries of Solano County. The position will assist with basic services and offer spiritual care for those in need. Most of these activities will be conducted daily with emergency call up availability for disasters and other similar emergency situations. The position will be involved in the operations of volunteer recruitment in partnership with local community organizations as needed. The position will support the execution of The Salvation Army seasonal programs, such as holiday and back-to-school shopping as directed by the supervisor. The execution of services shall be in a manner consistent with the traditional ethics, methods, and purpose of The Salvation Army. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
