Position Announcement

The College of Science, Engineering, and Technology (CSET) at Utah Tech University (UT) in St. George, Utah, invites applications for a one-year full-time graduate programs coordinator. This role will have main oversight of managing new graduate degrees within the college, including Software Development, User Experience and Design, and Artificial Intelligence, and other graduate programs in CSET under development. Will also assist in marketing and advertising of college programs and initiatives. More information about CSET degree offerings can be found online at https://catalog.utahtech.edu.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Graduate Studies Manager in the Curriculum Office regarding Graduate Program applications and student admissions within CSET.
  • Coordinate with faculty stakeholders to ensure CSET graduate plans are being met.
  • Work with the Graduation Coordinator to ensure all requirements for graduation are met and submitted in a timely manner and within university deadlines.
  • Monitor student progress and ensure all CSET graduate students submit required forms to the Office of Graduate Studies on time and be the main point of contact for graduate studies within the college.
  • Oversee Graduate Studies student advising including to a student's Graduate Program Committee Chair.
  • Maintain currency of program and submit course/program changes in a timely manner through the established curriculum process.
  • Oversee assessment of CSET Graduate Program learning outcomes.
  • Participate and contribute to the orientation and onboarding processes for Graduate Students.
  • Work with Department Chair, Dean, and other faculty in the college of Science, Engineering, and Technology in developing and implementing an advertising and marketing strategy for CSET graduate and assigned undergraduate programs, as appropriate.
  • Leading efforts at recruitment into the graduate programs.
  • Build industry relations, coordinate advisory meetings, and help place students after graduation.
  • Establish industry partnerships to source capstone and student projects for programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience working in higher education within a related area (e.g. admissions, financial aid, advisement, etc.) preferred. Experience with Graduate program advisement, admissions and program development preferred.
  • Demonstrated abilities in marketing and advertising.
  • Experience with Slate CRM software and Banner Student software preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and mentoring skills and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with other team members.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with students, staff, and colleagues orally and in writing.

Supplemental Information

POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Full-time overtime-exempt staff position. Annual salary of $60,000-$62,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Desired start date of Spring semester 2026.
