Plant/Property Accountant

PCA is seeking resumes for a promotable Plant/Property Accountant at our Tomahawk, WI Mill.

Plant/Property Accountant

• Ensure compliance with all PCA financial policies and GAAP
• Maintain and implement improvements to internal controls
• Responsibility for directing the annual fixed asset physical inventory of ~7500 assets
• Update all asset records with inventory information, prepare reports for audit documentation and prepare the information for disposal of fixed assets as necessary
• Review all capital appropriation requests for potential disposals
• Close all completed capital appropriation requests to fixed assets
• Assist with the conversion of the fixed asset system as directed by corporate
• Develop and record monthly journal entries
• Complete various balance sheet reconciliations
• Learn the timekeeper process in order to assist with future system conversion
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required

1-3 years of experience in public accounting and/or a manufacturing environment

CPA/CMA preferred or working towards either

This position is on-site at the Tomahawk, WI mill and is not remote or hybrid

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Must be detailed oriented

Ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and have a broad understanding of accounting principles, concepts, and practice

Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills

Capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving

Ability to work with ambiguity and change

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary range for position: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00.
• Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.

• Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
