| Essential Job Duties |
As the Shipping and Receiving Associate, you'll oversee the daily logistics operations for the Terry Center Loading Dock and the Veterinary Hospital mailroom, ensuring the accurate and timely receipt, processing, and distribution of packages, freight, and mail. Your work will help keep the hospital's clinical, teaching, and research operations running smoothly by ensuring essential materials and correspondence reach the right people at the right time.
Essential Duties:
- Receive and Log Shipments: Manage daily receipt of packages from all carriers at the Loading Dock. Accurately sort shipments, log all details (receipt and delivery dates) in the Qtrak tracking software, and prepare for final distribution.
- Manage Inventory Receiving: Execute the full receiving process for Central Services shipments, including unpacking and logging items into the ezyVet inventory system to close out Purchase Orders (POs).
- Resolve Discrepancies: Collaborate with Purchasing Agents and Department Buyers to quickly identify and resolve any receiving or PO discrepancies. Process and scan all packing lists daily.
- Maintain Operational Readiness: Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the Loading Dock, ensuring all transport equipment is functional.
- Logistics Support: Assist with the collection and staging of Surplus items. Support the delivery of oversized or heavy Capital Assets to departments.
- Hospital Mail Management: Receive, sort, and efficiently distribute all USPS mail to the appropriate recipients and departments across the hospital.
Work Conditions:
This position involves physical activity, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently, at times without assistance, and 100 pounds with assistance, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
High school diploma or equivalency. |
| Preferred Qualifications |
* Experience using inventory and tracking software, specifically ezyVet and Qtrak.
* Proficiency in Google Drive for documentation and collaboration.
* Previous work experience in Shipping and Receiving, Materials Management, or a related stockroom environment.
* Experience working within a veterinary hospital or human healthcare facility environment. |
