Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor of Clinical Practice based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Instructor of Clinical Practice: * Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care * At least three (3) years as practicing pediatric intensivist Senior Instructor of Clinical Practice: * Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care * At least three (3) years as practicing pediatric intensivist Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice: * Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care * At least three (3) years as practicing pediatric intensivist Associate Professor of Clinical Practice: * Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care * At least three (3) years as practicing pediatric intensivist Professor of Clinical Practice: * Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care * At least three (3) years as practicing pediatric intensivist Rank at the time of appointment will be based on the candidate's demonstrated contributions and experience in teaching, clinical, research, and/or service to the field. Preferred Qualifications: * Clinical expertise in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. * Experience developing clinical programs. * Physician leadership experience * At least three years of physician leadership experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Ability to communicate effectively; * Ability to handle stressful situations with professional composure; * Knowledge of leadership strategies, conflict resolution, change management and continuous improvement techniques; * Knowledge of quality improvement, family centered care, and evidence based practice; * Ability to integrate clinical, quality/patient safety, management and financial concepts within an academic and community pediatric healthcare setting; * Skill in leading high-performing, cross-functional teams; * Skill in prioritizing patient and system needs appropriately; * Knowledge and skill in customer service delivery; * Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team; * Well organized and efficient in their work |
