The Occupational Therapist in Acute Care Rehabilitation provides occupational therapy treatment to a diverse group of patients, including, but not limited to, general medicine and general surgery, orthopedic and trauma, surgical critical care, and burn. This individual will be responsible for the evaluation and development of a comprehensive care plan for all patients. One must function well within a team of rehab professionals and documents patients' abilities, progress and outcomes. An Occupational Therapist on this team will provide quality services to an assigned group of patients and performs duties associated with patient care and participation in interdisciplinary teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Occupational Therapist rehabilitation team members must be licensed and/or certified with the respective profession (occupational therapy), and meet the educational and/or certification requirements established by their professions (occupational therapists must hold a bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy at a minimum). Degree must have been granted from an accredited institution. All licensed professionals must be cleared through the National Database of Practitioners. Typically, one-two years experience working in a medical setting is preferred for all professionals hired.
