In this on-location role, you will report to our Head of Ride-Hailing Operations.

You will:



  • Market Strategy & Vision: Develop and implement a comprehensive market strategy that aligns with the overall business strategy and vision towards commercialization, in alignment with cross functional partners. Responsible for driving growth and profitability, the role must explore new revenue streams, identifying and addressing operational inefficiencies, and developing innovative solutions to enhance the organization's market positioning
  • Cost Optimization: Manage departmental budgets, identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, and monitor key performance indicators to optimize resource allocation and maximize profitability.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies for market expansion. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to determine infrastructure needs, staffing support and logistical timelines. Additionally, conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences, and develop products and services that meet those needs
  • Market Planning: Work closely with the operations team to plan and implement infrastructure improvements that support business growth. Develop plans for depot expansions, new depot construction, and other infrastructure improvements as needed
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including both internal and external partners. Identify new partnership opportunities and negotiate contracts to maximize value for the business
  • Provide Strategic Leadership: Provide decisive leadership to manage and optimize daily operations while fostering a high-performance culture that emphasizes collaboration and accountability.
  • Build Collaborative Partnerships: Build and maintain strong partnerships across the company and with vendors, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, goals, and a shared commitment to success.
  • Drive Sustainable Outcomes:Serve as a trusted leader with a continuous improvement mindset, driving operational excellence, strengthening stakeholder alignment, and delivering measurable, sustainable results.



You have:



  • 15+ years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate & lead teams, develop and execute strategies, and drive performance improvement
  • Proven ability to build and manage effective teams, manage budgets and resources, and establish and maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders, such as executives, employees, & customers



We prefer:



  • Experience with AVs
  • Experience with infrastructure or EV charging
  • MBA



Travel requirements:



  • 24/7 operational responsibility
  • Ability to travel within market
  • No remote or hybrid working


The expected base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo's discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
