Position Overview:

This role is pivotal in managing and processing commercial
real estate loan documentation in line with the bank's policies, title
commitments, and approved loan terms. It acts as the primary review point for
newly originated or modified commercial real estate loans, ensuring a seamless
transition from loan approval to closing. Coordination with bank attorneys,
title companies, and direct engagement with customers and bank personnel is
essential to facilitate the loan process effectively. Additionally, this position
serves as a critical support to the Commercial Real Estate Construction
Specialists and Relationship Assistants, ensuring continuity and efficiency in
operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Act as the central coordinator for processing
    commercial real estate loans, including ordering and reviewing flood
    certifications, title commitments, surveys, insurance, leases, entity
    documents, and any other required documentation.
  • Facilitate the closing of commercial real estate loans
    by collaborating with title companies and attorneys to ensure a timely and
    efficient process.
  • Maintain open and professional communication with
    customers and vendors to gather necessary loan file documentation.
  • Ensure closing documentation complies with bank
    policies, title commitments, and approved loan terms.
  • Coordinate document corrections and modifications prior
    to loan closing to prevent any discrepancies.
  • Provide regular updates to lenders, support staff,
    customers, and title companies on the status of loan processing and
    closing activities.
  • Review closed loan packages for compliance and
    accuracy, and coordinate with title companies and attorneys for any
    necessary corrections before approving funding.
  • Verify all loan documents are properly executed before
    disbursing loan proceeds to title companies.
  • Prepare and assemble closed loan documentation for
    submission to document processing for loan system setup.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of department
    policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and operational
    efficiency.
  • Offer backup support to Commercial Real Estate
    Construction Specialists and Relationship Assistants as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the
    department's objectives and functions.
  • This position may require travel within the Bank's geographic area.


Experience & Education:

  • A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in real estate
    loan documentation, with at least 1 year specifically in commercial real
    estate documentation.
  • Proven experience in interacting with attorneys, title
    companies, lenders, and borrowers.
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • College-level real estate courses or other commercial
    real estate continuing education courses are preferred.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate
    terminology, legal and title requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced organizational, prioritization, and
    decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in computer use and word processing
    software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with
    team members and external partners.
  • Knowledge of banking software and loan servicing
    systems.
