The Position

Systems Integration Specialist

The Opportunity

As a Systems Integration Specialist, you will have an opportunity to work on software/systems integration within an IT environment.

This is a fixed term role with an estimated duration of 1.5 years.

Hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days offsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and communicate integration architecture of systems handling Configuration Management related information (in the context of Product Lifecycle Management / PLM) to ensure these systems meet current and future business needs.

  • Demonstrate understanding of identified gaps in functionality and business processes and able to show how they are addressed by the proposed PLM solutions.

  • Work within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) together with the Product Owner (Agile Team) and the ART Troika (primarily with the System Architect).

  • Act as consultant to the above-mentioned individuals as well as to the Agile Team members.

  • Work with internal business customers of various levels to define new processes, business requirements and design high level solutions that align with both IT and business roadmaps.

  • Align cross-solution architecture together with the ART System Architect.

  • Help to transition from existing technical platform to future best in class solutions.

  • Understand regulations related to the topic of PLM Configuration Management, assess impact on company internal functions such as R&D, Manufacturing, Service.

  • Follow SAFe principles and guidelines - Agile Ways of Working.

  • Coordinate and cooperate with a team of external consultants and developers on the Agile Team.

  • Measure, track, and correct outcomes based on metrics including SLA's, KPI's and user-experience, and customer satisfaction.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science/Technology, or a related field is required.

  • 5 years of experience designing/implementing technology solutions for mission-critical systems and 5 years of experience with software development is required.

  • Deep experience designing, implementing, and operating technology solutions for mission-critical systems, ideally with research laboratory execution informatics (eLN or similar).

  • Strong experience with SaaS solutions and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).

  • Familiarity with GxP-relevant systems and a strong understanding of cybersecurity standards and trust zones.

  • Proven leadership experience managing technical efforts within cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong team player with excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of working with local and global teams.

  • Ability to work flexible hours for global collaboration.

  • Solid understanding of the life sciences (pharma, diagnostics, drug discovery) business context.

Know-how

  • Understand business processes governing the application and able to establish strong links with other technical teams responsible for the application and product delivery.

  • Focus area of knowledge is on SAP PLM and/or other PLM tools like Siemens Team Center,PTC Windchill, and other solutions on the market are welcome.

  • Develop business/technical critical knowledge within the area of PLM Configuration Management and is familiar with opinion leaders in the field.

  • Ensure alignment to defined technology roadmap and Roche wide Architecture principles.

  • Assist in the development of others by coaching and sharing his/her experiences and knowledge in the field of expertise.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN is between $102,900 and $190,800. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
