This Accounting Manager oversees the financial closes and accounting transactions for the US inventory and COGS functions ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies. The individual will be expected to solve problems, manage projects, design innovative and scalable solutions, and exercise good business judgment. The position offers visibility to leadership, including the CAO and US CFO, and requires close collaboration with regional finance directors and operations teams. The accounting manager will report to the North America controller and manage two direct reports.

Financial Close and Analysis:



  • Own and optimize the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close activities for the Company's US inventory and cost accounting functions, including but not limited to inventory, received not invoiced liabilities, warranty reserve, supplier rebates, material and labor transfers, and cost analysis.
  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, ensuring quality, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead / Co-lead the US annual physical inventory.
  • Drive financial accuracy, U.S. GAAP compliance, and reporting integrity.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis including monthly PnL & B/S variance analysis highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support sales margin analysis.
  • Coordinate and manage requests from external auditors.


Leadership & Team Development:



  • Coach and develop a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Act as a key liaison between the accounting department and regional finance, CTC operation managers, warehouse managers and IT ensuring alignment on financial objectives and processes.
  • Work with the Technical Accounting and Reporting team on technical or complex accounting matters.


Process Improvement:



  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
  • Leverage technology to streamline accounting processes and improve the accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of standard frameworks, practices and controls that can be adopted globally.
  • Support the ongoing implementation of an ERP system.



What You'll Need



  • Experience with large ERP system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong understanding and practical working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Curious mindset that proactively seeks understanding and feedback
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex operational challenges
  • Organized and has an aptitude for information technology
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally and to proactively identify accounting issues, research applicable guidance and document conclusions
  • Resourceful and not afraid to dive into the details while also driving thoughtful and strategic project execution
  • Passionate about process, continuous improvement, and leveraging technology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Your approach is clear, thoughtful and customer focused.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership over your work and that of the team.

Requirements:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in accounting from an accredited university or college.


Minimum Experience:



  • 5-7 years of accounting work experience, including minimum 2 years of hands-on inventory accounting, required
  • 2+ years managing direct reports, preferred.


Certifications & Licenses:



  • CPA preferred



Salary Range: $120,000 to $140,000
