For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $3,000 sign on bonus for
Patient Service Specialist (PSSs):

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time PSR position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible;
former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position.
Do you have a passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences and supporting a team dedicated to eye health? Join our Ophthalmology practice as a Patient Service Specialist, where you'll be the first point of contact for patients and play a vital role in ensuring smooth, efficient care.

What You'll Do:

* Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.

* Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and manage patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.

* Assist with check-in/check-out processes and coordinate referrals as needed.

* Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to maintain a positive, patient-focused environment.

What We're Looking For:

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Previous experience in healthcare or patient services (Ophthalmology experience a plus).

* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.

* Proficiency with scheduling systems and basic computer skills.

    Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
    2. License/Certifications: N/A
    3. Experience: Six months of medical office experience required.
    4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
    5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
