Summary: The Quality Assurance (QA) Test Manager reports to the Director of IT. The Test Manager is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality assurance process across an organization or project. Lead testing efforts, define standards, manage teams, and coordinate testing activities to support reliable software releases. The role involves managing resources, developing testing strategies, and aligning QA practices with business goals and development methodologies such as Agile and DevOps. Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership on Quality Assurance, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives related to projects and releases. Oversee global QA processes and testing, coordinating with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution and high-quality outcomes. Partner with senior stakeholders to develop and communicate comprehensive test strategies, plans, and roadmaps to ensure thorough testing coverage aligned with project goals. Define quality standards, process improvements, and best practices for testing frameworks and methodologies. Implement risk management strategies to identify testing risks and establish mitigation plans. Manage and mentor testing teams, including manual and automation testers, fostering continuous skill development and alignment with organizational goals. Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, testing tools to meet testing deadlines and quality targets. Promote collaboration and communication between QA, development, product and application teams. Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting activities to ensure that testing phases are completed on time and meet quality standards. Monitor test coverage, defect trends, and test metrics, providing insights and reports to stakeholders on release readiness. Automation and Tool Management. Drive automation initiatives, selecting and maintaining testing tools and frameworks to support continuous testing and fast release cycles. Manage testing environments, test data, and integration with CI/CD pipelines. Ensure tests are aligned with organizational, regulatory, and security standards, supporting audit readiness and compliance initiatives. Focus on defect prevention, process improvements, and quality control activities to maintain high product standards. Provide clear, detailed status reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness. Act as the key communication link between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed and risks are communicated effectively.
Required Experience & Skills:
Leadership & Strategy: Proven experience managing QA strategy, QA process for Enterprise Applications, managing testing teams, and working with senior stakeholders. Test Management - Enterprise Applications & Tools: Strong understanding of Salesforce Commerce, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Applications, Jira Application management, and Automations Tools. Project Management: Hands-on experience in managing IT initiatives, including quality management, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Technology & Innovation: Exposure to the new evolving technologies using AI, identifying opportunities for test process automation and improvements. People Leadership: Experience coaching applications teams on testing process. Mentoring, and developing test engineers in a global environment. Vendor & Partner Management: Ability to engage with external partners, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful collaboration. Process Improvement & Quality Assurance: Strong focus on standardizing best practices for integration, ensuring high-quality project delivery. Prepare a QA guidelines and checklist for new projects. Establish and manage Testing Center of Experience (TCoE). Conduct Quality Assurance audits for the projects.
Education & Qualifications:
5 - 7 + years' experience as test manager managing testing teams. Certifications in Salesforce Admin, Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE), etc High-tech industry experience is a must.
