About the role

The Director of Ethics & Compliance Investigations is responsible for ensuring operational excellence and investigative rigor across the organization's ethics and compliance framework. This role leads the investigations team, oversees program governance, and drives continuous improvement to maintain a robust, transparent, and accountable compliance environment. The Director will champion best practices, enforce consistency in investigative standards, integrate new technologies to enhance program effectiveness, and foster team development to strengthen organizational integrity.

What you'll be doing



  • Lead and maintain a comprehensive investigations program aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Enforce standardized operating procedures, ensuring consistency and quality across all investigations.
  • Monitor program performance through metrics, audits, and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Direct or conduct complex investigations with precision, timeliness, and adherence to ethical standards.
  • Review investigative plans, including evidence collection, interviews, and documentation for appropriate strategy and correct level of rigor.
  • Ensure findings are supported by thorough analysis and communicated clearly to stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement emerging technologies to improve investigative processes, case management, and data analytics.
  • Drive automation and digital tools adoption to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Evaluate technology performance and recommend upgrades to maintain cutting-edge capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Internal Audit, Operations Assurance and external counsel to address compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and review root cause analyses and recommend systemic improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Mentor and develop investigative staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Provide training on investigative techniques, compliance standards, and ethical decision-making.
  • Build succession plans and strengthen team resilience for evolving compliance challenges.
  • Partner with leadership to integrate investigation insights into policy enhancements, training programs, and organizational controls.



Who we're looking for



  • BA/BS; advanced certifications (CCEP, CPA, or CFE) preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of investigative experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to manage complex investigations, drive operational improvements, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leveraging technology for compliance and investigative functions.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as needed.
