Job Summary
Responsible for administering day to day access control activities for PeopleSoft (PS) applications, with technical leadership in the areas of PS security maintenance, testing, documentation and production support; and coordinating activities with multiple institutions to meet compliance with established policies and procedures.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience or associate's degree and 4 years of related experience or high school diploma and 6 years of related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • 5+ years of PeopleSoft Applications access control / security administration experience (specifically in HCM, FMS, Campus Solutions, and Interaction Hub) version 9.1+
  • 2+ years' experience with PeopleTools 8.55+.
  • Certifications in supported technologies.
  • 10+ years of systems analysis, design, software support and application security in a combination of:

    • 5+ years of PeopleSoft Applications access control / security administration experience (specifically in HCM, FMS, Campus Solutions, and Interaction Hub) version 9.1+
    • 2+ years' experience with PeopleTools 8.55+
    • 4+ years' experience with relational databases.



  • Hands on technical involvement with previous PeopleSoft 9.2/PeopleTools 8.56 implementation and upgrade projects.
  • Use of Phire/STAT for version control/change management and Cherwell for ticket management.
  • Experience with configuring PeopleSoft Single Sign-On (SSO) and/or LDAP.
  • Experience configuring integration broker.
  • Strong understanding of all phases of the application development life cycle and project management disciplines.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Access).

To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Create vision and direction in the area of technical improvements based on enhancements provided in the PS software.
*Establish and solidify a more effective and standardized policy/procedure repository and ensure team members are utilizing and contributing to the information.
*Act as the primary technical resource for audit and investigative efforts across internal/external entities.
*Mentor/train Access Control Analyst I team members.
*Ability to define, configure, and administer PS security across multiple instances (development, test, production, etc.) and applications (Interaction Hub, HCM, EPM, FMS, Campus Solutions, and/or CRM) which includes interacting and working closely with multiple teams to implement PS Security.
*Ability to configure/develop security objects that adhere to Oracle/PeopleSoft/UT System development standards and best practices, and ability to document the security infrastructure so that it may be interpreted, maintained and enhanced while providing documentation for internal/external audits.
*Apply knowledge of PS security delivered functionality (user profiles, roles, permission list, etc.) to maximize features and functionality in support of identified customer requirements. Ability to make recommendations to improve, streamline and automate PS security.
*Respond to, and troubleshoot, reported problems pertaining to the supported PS applications. Identify the cause, design or develop an approach for resolution, and upon approval, implement the correction to meet user specific needs.
*Perform impact analysis on all PS applications/PeopleTools updates and provide impact analysis and remediation.
*Other duties as assigned.

  • Position location will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Location can be Fort Worth, TX or Richardson, TX.
  • Hybrid remote work environment available. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment.
  • Must have the ability to be on Richardson campus within 48 hours of notice.
