POSITION SUMMARY UC Press has a mission to drive progressive change by seeking out and cultivating the brightest minds and giving them voice, reach, and impact. To this end, the Marketing Manager will embody and communicate UC Press's progressive mission through comprehensive marketing strategies. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing, this role involves crafting and executing integrated plans for print and digital products, aligning with seasonal schedules and budgets. The ideal candidate will leverage various marketing channels including email, digital/print ads, social media, and content marketing to drive sales, increase market awareness, and enhance customer engagement. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of our lead titles, with key expertise in author engagement opportunities, resource and support development, and strategies for expanding their profiles. Agility and market responsiveness are essential, as is collaboration as a member of the Books Marketing Team to keep the team updated on best practices for product searchability. Travel Requirements SPECIAL CONDITIONS The person hired will be required to live in California and report to work on-site at UC's Office of the President in Oakland, CA at least two days per week (currently Wednesday and Thursday).
