Security Officer - Healthcare Screener

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Screener in Escondido, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, including sensitive environments, to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, provide a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Greet and screen all individuals entering the healthcare location, following site-specific policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service while carrying out security-related duties at the assigned site.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and/or patients as needed.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence at the screening post to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance as needed.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience working in a hospital morgue is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
