Role description

Role Proficiency:

Develop applications in assigned area of responsibility on ERP/CRM systems with minimal guidance from a Lead Developer

Outcomes:



  1. Work with project team to develop unit test and document small and medium complex level programs as needed for the projects
  2. Follows the best practises set by the project requirements.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned or requested
  4. Code debug test and document; communicate product/component/feature during development stages.
  5. Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models
  6. Learn technology business domain system domain individually and as recommended by the project/account
  7. Define/review technical requirements based on user stories.
  8. Mentor new team members
  9. Contribute to ERP/CRM Practice related activities like (but not limited to) assembling content for case studies contributing to reusability coordinating internal seminars and conduct knowledge sharing sessions organizing sessions during and participating in hackathons etc.
  10. Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system
  11. Suggest appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components
  12. Set goals in NorthStar measure progress timely and update accordingly



Measures of Outcomes:



  1. Completion of applicable technical/domain certifications
  2. Adherence to coding standards set by ERP/CRM Practice
  3. Number of mandatory training requirements (technology/industry specific training programs and UST mandatory trainings)
  4. Reduction of reoccurrence of known defects
  5. Quick turnaround of production bugs
  6. Number of post delivery defects
  7. Adhere to SLAs where applicable (if supporting)
  8. Resource billability throughout the year
  9. Number of positive feedback from managers or leads
  10. Number of small requirements solutioned and implemented

Requirement:



  1. Understand the requirements/user stories


Estimate:



  1. Estimate time
    effort
    and resource dependence for one's own work and for others' work
    including modules. Follow scrum ceremonies.


Design:



  1. Understand the design/LLD and link it to requirements/user stories


Configuration and Coding::



  1. Adhere to coding standards and follow ERP/CRM best practices. Develop code independently.


Test:



  1. Create unit test plan for assigned requirements
    and conduct unit testing.
  2. Test class coverage above 95%.


Code Review:



  1. Participate in code reviews with Tech Lead
  2. Interact with client for technical discussions under supervision


Manage Defects:



  1. Perform defect RCA and mitigation


Manage Project:



  1. Manage module level activities


Document:



  1. Create documentation for own work as well as perform peer review of documentation of others' work
  2. Create deployment related documents.


Analysis:



  1. Perform analysis as required and directed by the supervisor


Status Reporting:



  1. Report status of tasks assigned
  2. Comply with project related reporting standards and process


Manage knowledge:



  1. Contribute project related documents
    share point
    libraries
    client universities


Release:



  1. Follow release process

  1. Develop feature / component with good understanding of the business problem being addressed

  1. Ability to debug and do RCA for any defects reported by testing team

  17. Ability to prepare test data and steps for unit integration and production testing as per project needs.

  • Knowledge of various ERP/CRM cloud platform features and automations.

    1. Thorough knowledge of coding best practices and understanding the limitations of coding.
    2. Experience using data loading tools.
    3. Experience on production deployment and solving deployment errors.
    4. Knowledge of Agile Methods - Scrum and Kanban
