What to Expect
The Supply Chain Analytics team, as part of the broader Process & Analytics organization, serves as the center of excellence for data analysis and insights at Tesla. We provide dedicated analytical partnerships to key operational groups to drive process improvements and strategic decision-making. In this role, you will serve as the primary Data Analyst supporting a key segment within the Finished Vehicle Logistics operation. You will be the go-to expert for data related to your assigned area, responsible for transforming complex datasets into actionable intelligence that optimizes our global vehicle delivery network. While embedded as a partner to the logistics team, you will leverage the standards, tools, and expertise of the central Analytics team. The ideal candidate is a curious and driven analyst who excels at building strong stakeholder relationships and solving complex business problems with data.
What You'll Do
- Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for outbound logistics, including transit times, logistics costs, carrier performance, and delivery network efficiency
- Apply data mining, statistical analysis, and visualization techniques to create actionable insights from complex logistics data sets
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns to pinpoint bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement within the vehicle delivery pipeline
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to guide strategic decision-making for the Finished Vehicle Logistics team
- Drive problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize outbound logistics processes and reduce operational costs
- Support leadership with dashboards and ad-hoc analyses to assess business impact, model different scenarios, and set priorities
- Independently manage multiple analytical projects, ensuring objectives and deadlines are met
- Partner with IT and systems teams to define system requirements and participate in the software development lifecycle, from design to user acceptance testing
What You'll Bring
- Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Economics) or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability, with 2+ years of work experience inoutbound logistics, finished vehicle logistics, transportation, supply chain,or a related analytical role
- A structured, data-driven, and quantitative approach to problem-solving
- Strong proficiency in querying large datasets using SQL
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and present findings clearly and concisely
- Proven ability to set expectations, manage deadlines, and hold individuals and teams accountable for critical milestones
- A collaborative, flexible, and open working style with the ability to build trust and credibility across teams
- Experience with a programming language for data analysis (e.g., Python, R) is highly preferred
- Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar is highly preferred

Expected Compensation
$80,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
