Job Description

Summary

This position requires setting up and operating the mixer, weigh scales, the mill and other related equipment to create the rubber that we use for our products. The ideal candidate will ensure that company goals of safety, quality, and production are met while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. This person will also maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Produce product within specifications
  • Use appropriate measurement and test devices to ensure quality production
  • Observe all plant safety rules and regulations
  • Minimize scrap and maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain good housekeeping to improve safety and material flow
  • Run quality tests on rubber, following established guidelines

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Ability to perform the job and meet production and quality targets consistently
  • Effective judgment in a fast-paced, results-orientated environment
  • Solid oral, written, and listening communication skills necessary
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to work in factory environment with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature variations
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time; 8 - 12 hour shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as well as pulling and pushing
  • Must have excellent attendance
  • High school diploma or equivalent
