This position will provide compliance guidance and support to the Company on compliance related matters, including but not limited to, federal and state fraud and abuse laws and other health care regulatory laws that arise in the context of outpatient dialysis centers and related businesses. This position will liaise between business clients, legal and compliance to ensure fraud and abuse risk is low as it relates to DaVita's agreements with referral sources. The ability to assess compliance risk while analyzing facts and circumstances outside of the four corners of an agreement is highly desirable. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands Anti-Kickback Statute and other compliance risks and is able to apply the concepts globally. Oversees three key teams of DaVita's compliance program: Referral Source Arrangement payment and performance monitoring team, Referral Source Arrangement data team, Referral Source Arrangement technology team. Manages a team of nine (9) compliance, IT and data professionals and actively develops and coaches teammates. Interprets and applies aspects of DaVita's policies and procedures to our referral source agreements, such as medical director agreements, personal services agreements, transactions, and leases. Oversees processes to ensure DaVita's Referral Source Arrangements are paid in accordance with the contract and Referral Sources are performing in accordance with the contract. Knowledge of accounting reports and processes beneficial. Oversees the development and implementation of data tools to help ensure our team works most effectively and efficiently to identify and mitigate risk under DaVita's Referral Source Arrangements. Knowledge of data transformation tools, processes and project management beneficial. Oversees the development and implementation of IT systems to help ensure our team works most effectively and efficiently to identify and mitigate risk under DaVita's Referral Source Arrangements. Knowledge of IT system development cycles, including requirements gathering, development, testing and production processes beneficial. Continually assess compliance gaps including root/cause analyses, corrective action, data analytics, process improvement, and control development. Partners with other compliance teammates, regulatory attorneys, IT clients, and business clients in identifying and resolving compliance matters. Monitors changes in relevant regulatory areas to assess compliance program gaps. Manages special projects at VP, Compliance request, as needed. Travel required: Minimal.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required; JD beneficial. Healthcare industry experience is required. Minimum five (5) years of experience leading a team developing processes and project management; experience in regulatory law, audit or compliance in health care is beneficial. Knowledge of health care fraud and abuse laws and regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, is required. People management experience required. Demonstrated project management experience required, including ability to develop and deliver project plans and timelines to senior leadership. Experience with managing data analytics projects and IT systems. Prefer prior experience with legal/regulatory advice to healthcare providers. Prior experience working under or advising clients related to a CIA/DPA or other state/federal regulatory oversight is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to present and communicate effectively with executive management, functional leaders, and field employees. Experience supervising work performed by outside vendors and contractors preferred Superior writing and communication skills required. Proven track record of collaborative problem solving with senior management and business leaders to achieve business goals. Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

The Salary Range for the role is $114,000.00 - $181,000.00/year.
