Location: 309 Main St. Irwin, PA 15642 or: 800 Philadelphia Street Hours: Monday - Wednesday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Thursday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Friday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department) Function: Responsible for performing recovery activities regarding delinquent accounts in accordance with Bank and legal guidelines, including related state and federal regulations. Ensuring the operation of the Managed/Special Asset Division functions Duties and Responsibilities:
o Responds to senior manager and executive inquiries on the past due report. o Contacts customers by phone/email to get a commitment when loan payments will be made.
Education: Require a high school diploma or equivalent basic academic education. Experience: Requires ten plus years general business as well as specialized experience, specifically in the areas of collections, banking systems, payment processing. Problem Solving/Decision Making: Above average independence in this position. Average repetition in this job. Handles very high amount of severity of problems. Average amount of set procedures. Very high impact of decisions on the company. All situations encountered are problems - deals directly with delinquent/difficult customers. Negotiates payments that have a significant impact on the bank's delinquency and therefore our financial results. Complexity and Judgment: Plan, organizes and lays out work at employee's discretion. Judgment is required continuously. Mistakes would likely be discovered by the supervisor and other employees and their effect would be major. Creativity and Foresight: To a significant extent facilitates action. To an average extent develops new ideas. To a small extent sets path for the future. Communications: To a great extent required to be involved in verbal presentations and discussions. To an average extent required to write memos, emails. Critical influence with company operations/image and contacts. Collections efforts handled inappropriately can cause great reputation damage. To a great extent responsible for advising higher management. The effect of errors would be moderate pertaining to costs and significant pertaining to processes. The effect of errors would be critical pertaining to overall company performance. Position processes payments/waivers negotiate for the same error that can occur are typically month/quarter end and cannot be reversed early. Therefore, they have significant impact on operating results and reporting. Supervision Required: Most work is done independently, without close supervision. Use of Technology: Proficient in using a personal computer, calculator, telephone equipment. Proficient in working with word processing, spreadsheet and database. Advanced skill level in working with Banking Systems: FIS, Collections Queues, Optima, and LaserPro. Basic skill level in working with graphics. Accuracy: The job has access to confidential information to include customer information, personnel records, legal documents and financial data. The resulting damage would be major should this information be released to the wrong people. Damage to company (customer) reputation if a delinquency is revealed to their client base. Could result in lawsuits and losses to the bank. Confidentiality in this position is of utmost importance. Mental Demands: Continually needs to make quick decisions. Continually needs to concentrate. Position deals entirely with delinquent/difficult/unhappy customers and the loan officers are supervisors who deal with these situations who are frustrated as well. Physical Demands: Average amount of use of keypad device, electronic equipment, office equipment. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry up to 60% of the business day. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20"for computer work.
