Smartphone App Validation Engineer

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is looking for an experienced engineer to join the Mobile App and Automation Team of the Infotainment Development Department, which oversees various innovation projects regarding Smartphone App (SPA), servers, and connected car systems software development relating to connected car service, to support efforts concerning SPA development and validation.

What You Will Do:

  • Support efforts concerning the validation and development of the Connected Car Smartphone App
  • Define test processes and procedures for optimal performance
  • Ensure SPA is functioning per the designed requirements and specifications
  • Refine, create, and execute test cases based on E2E (end-to-end) performance of the SPA
  • Enhance and establish automated test capabilities to gauge performance and quality
  • Create a monitoring dashboard that registers test results and provides app operation health reports
  • Collaborate with other technical HATCI teams to troubleshoot defects concerning SPA performance
  • Oversee collaboration with overseas R&D on SPA process and validation results
  • Create and present technical reports as assigned for management to review
  • Mentor junior engineers on best practices and facilitate on-the-job learning
  • Travel up to 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally

What You Will Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related field of study
  • 3+ years of experience working with Connected Car Smartphone Apps
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
  • Root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Adept in Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellenttime management, self-management, and organization skills
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • A strong analytical mindset
  • Project management experience
  • Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record
