Compensation:

* Base Pay Range: $78,520 - $127,961.60 per year, based on experience

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Recruit, onboard, and develop Emergency room and Urgent Care staff. Guide, coach, and mentor to achieve a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. Actively manage the department budget with assistance from the director. Align with the clinical leadership structure for reporting, goals, and Key Performance Metrics in a shared service model through multi-disciplinary collaboration. Maintain adequate scheduling to ensure patient safety and optimal clinical and financial experience. Regulate appropriate span of control to hours of operation including multiple physical sites and 24/7 staffing patterns. Responsible for the functional outcome of patient identification and tracking in disaster events or mass influx events for the organization.

Work towards achieving departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) defined by the Revenue Cycle Leadership and industry standards. Monitor department and inpatient activities to ensure compliance with requirements of regulatory agencies such as DNV and CMS Health and Human Services. Oversee the efficacy and operational streamlining of vendor systems used in the environment to achieve expected outcomes. Work on succession planning. Manage the development, coordination, and maintenance of daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of coverage and continuity of care. Monitor and oversee time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies and practices, ensuring accuracy of records and timely approval for payroll purposes. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, public policy, or a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.

Total of 6 years of experience required - Three (3) years of healthcare experience. Three (3) years of supervision experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and may require ambulating, remaining in a stationary position and positioning self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs. This role will routinely meet patient who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
